William Saliba Expresses Confidence in Arsenal s Quadruple AspirationsWilliam Saliba Expresses Confidence in Arsenal s Quadruple Aspirations

omidbasir- William Saliba has expressed his belief that Arsenal could achieve the remarkable feat of winning the quadruple this season.

Currently, Arsenal sits at the top of both the Premier League and the Champions League standings, and they have progressed to the semi-finals of the Carabao Cup after defeating Crystal Palace on penalties at the Emirates Stadium.

Mikel Arteta, who has been at the helm for six years, has only secured one major trophy—the FA Cup in 2020. As pressure mounts for him to secure silverware this season, Saliba was asked whether he has considered the possibility of winning multiple trophies this year. He responded affirmatively, stating, “Yes, of course. We know that in every competition we participate in, we have the potential to win.

“In the Premier League, we have come close over the last three seasons, and last year we reached the semi-finals of both the Champions League and the Carabao Cup. Therefore, we recognize our capability to triumph in every competition.

“However, we must demonstrate our abilities on the pitch and start securing trophies now.

“Having reached the semi-finals of the Carabao Cup means we have three matches left, and we need to perform well in January against Chelsea. This match will be significant—a true derby—so we must maintain our momentum. We are aware that we are close to success and need to learn from last season’s experiences.

“At the end of one’s career, the number of trophies is what matters, and the Carabao Cup is among them. Now that we are in the semi-finals, we are determined to win this competition, just as we aspire to win every tournament we enter.”

Arsenal has finished as runners-up in the league for the past three seasons and could find themselves in a position one point behind Manchester City if Pep Guardiola’s squad defeats Nottingham Forest in the early kick-off.

With matches scheduled to conclude the calendar year against Brighton and Aston Villa—who are also contending at the top—Arsenal will have an intense schedule of nine fixtures in January.

Saliba further noted, “The mood within the team is positive, but we must remember that it is still December, and circumstances can shift rapidly in football. We have to maintain our focus, believe in ourselves, and continue working hard, as what truly matters is holding the trophies at the end and not beforehand.

“The presence of numerous matches signifies that we are performing well, so we must keep pushing forward, and hopefully, our injured teammates will return in January to bolster our efforts.”
