Al-Nassr showcased their dominance right from the outset of the match, consistently applying pressure on the Al Akhdoud penalty area in search of an early goal. After a series of missed opportunities, the hosts finally opened the scoring just past the half-hour mark, with Cristiano Ronaldo executing a precise finish. The play began with Joao Felix delivering a corner kick towards the near post, where Angelo Gomes directed the ball to Ronaldo, who was positioned at the far post. The veteran forward calmly tapped the ball into the net.

Just before halftime, Ronaldo secured his brace, extending his team’s lead with yet another outstanding finish. Marcelo Brozovic received the ball at the edge of the penalty area, made a run inside, and squared it to his captain. Ronaldo, showcasing his skill, flicked the ball into the net with the side of his ankle, leaving both his marker and the goalkeeper completely deceived.

At the start of the second half, Al-Nassr nearly added a third goal when Kingsley Coman’s shot struck the crossbar and went out of play. In the 55th minute, Al Akhdoud’s players appealed for a penalty after forward Blaz Kramer fell following a challenge from Al-Nassr goalkeeper Nawaf Alaqidi. A VAR check confirmed that Kramer was offside when he received the ball.

Ronaldo came close to achieving his seventh hat-trick in the Saudi Pro League in the 66th minute, tapping the ball into the net from an inch-perfect cross by Sultan Al-Ghannam. However, another VAR review determined that Al-Ghannam was offside when he received the pass from Joao Felix. After playing pivotal roles in the first two goals, Felix finally found the scoresheet himself, sealing the match with a beautifully executed finish from inside the box.

With this victory, Al-Nassr maintained their perfect record in the Saudi Pro League, marking their 10th consecutive league win and extending their lead at the top of the table to four points.

Once again, it was Ronaldo’s night, as he propelled Al-Nassr to a remarkable 10th straight win in the Saudi Pro League. The seasoned forward continued to demonstrate his clinical nature in front of goal, adding two more goals to his tally for the 2025-26 campaign, despite narrowly missing out on his seventh hat-trick.

The Al Akhdoud defenders performed admirably during the initial 30 minutes, successfully withstanding Al-Nassr’s relentless attacks. However, their resolve began to falter after Ronaldo scored the opening goal, leading to a collapse in their defense.
