US Men’s National Team Roster Announced for November Friendlies

Mauricio Pochettino has named the United States men’s national team roster for November. The 25-player squad will face Paraguay on November 15 and Uruguay on November 18. These matches will be played in Chester, Pennsylvania, and Tampa, Florida.

The roster includes the return of Giovanni Reyna and Joe Scally from Borussia Mönchengladbach, along with Ricardo Pepi from PSV Eindhoven. However, several key players are missing this window. Christian Pulisic, Chris Richards, and Tim Weah are unavailable due to injury. Weston McKennie has also been left out, although the reason is not entirely clear.

Pochettino described this camp as another step toward developing the team’s identity ahead of the World Cup.

“This is an excellent chance for the players to show their value,” he said. “We expect everyone to arrive focused, prepared, and committed to working together.”

Pulisic continues to recover from a hamstring issue suffered in the last international window. Weah has been out since October 25 with a thigh injury. Richards is managing a calf problem. In addition, Antonee Robinson remains sidelined after knee surgery.

Reyna and Scally return for the first time since the Concacaf Nations League finals in March. Reyna recently joined Mönchengladbach from Borussia Dortmund and made an assist in their 4-0 win over St. Pauli. Pochettino noted that playing time at club level influences national team selection.

Ricardo Pepi also returns after scoring a late equalizer for PSV against Olympiacos. Meanwhile, the absence of Richards drew comment from Crystal Palace coach Oliver Glasner, who believed the defender should not have played last month during recovery. Pochettino responded by emphasizing respect for club medical teams and collaboration with coaches.

The squad will gather in Philadelphia on November 9.
