Andrew Carroll Faces Court Over Non Molestation Order BreachAndrew Carroll Faces Court Over Non Molestation Order Breach

For legal reasons, the specific details of the incident cannot be disclosed. However, according to The Sun, Andrew Carroll is facing a potential jail sentence after his arrest at an airport in April for breaching a non-molestation order. The 36-year-old former England forward is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday, December 30, where he will gain further insight into his future.

An Essex police representative informed The Sun that a man had been charged with violating a non-molestation order. Andrew Carroll, residing in Epping, was arrested on April 27, with the alleged offenses pertaining to an incident that occurred in March. He is expected to appear at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court on December 30.

A source revealed that an issue was flagged by Border Force officers during passport control at Stansted, prompting police involvement. Carroll was questioned and subsequently taken away, causing a notable disturbance among other passengers present at the time of his arrest.

Carroll, who has had stints at notable clubs such as Newcastle United, Liverpool, and West Ham United, returned to England after a brief period with Bordeaux in the French fourth division. Despite interest from various clubs across Europe, he opted for a more unexpected route, aiming to make a significant impact at Essex-based club Dagenham & Redbridge.

Upon signing with the sixth-tier club in the summer, Carroll humorously remarked, “My kids thought I was signing for Chelsea—they’ll be in for a shock. It’s a fantastic location and close to my kids; they will be able to come and see me play.”

Reflecting on his time in Bordeaux, Carroll acknowledged the need to settle into a more permanent environment. “I really enjoyed my time in Bordeaux, but it’s time for me to get settled with my family. I’m hoping my kids will bring their friends to see me play,” he stated. “I didn’t want to finish playing football, and I’m really excited to get involved in the leadership side and be a player. I’ve got experience in seeing how clubs are run at all levels. I believe I can add value.”

The outcome of Tuesday’s court decision will crucially determine Carroll’s future, including whether he faces a jail sentence. Meanwhile, Dagenham & Redbridge is set to conclude the year with a league match against Chelmsford City away from home on Monday.
