Andy Carroll, the former striker for Newcastle United, Liverpool, and the England national team, is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday due to charges of breaching a non-molestation order.

At 36 years old, Carroll currently plays for Dagenham and Redbridge in the National League South. He was arrested in April, with the alleged offense reportedly occurring the previous month.

Carroll, who has represented England nine times and was acquired by Liverpool in 2011 for a then-club record fee of £35 million, is set to appear at Chelmsford Magistrates Court.

Essex Police confirmed the charges, stating: “A man has been charged with breaching a non-molestation order. Andrew Carroll, 36, of Epping, was arrested on April 27, and the alleged offenses pertain to an incident in March. He is due to appear at Chelmsford magistrates’ court on December 30.”

A non-molestation order is a court injunction intended to prevent an individual from communicating with another person. It may also restrict someone from approaching a specific location, such as a residence or workplace.

The consequences for violating a non-molestation order can vary, ranging from a monetary fine to a prison sentence of up to five years for the most severe offenses.
