Inter Miami’s preseason tour to Peru marks the club’s second consecutive visit, underscoring its expanding ties with South American football markets. Alianza Lima, the second most successful club in Peruvian football history, will host Miami, boasting an impressive record of 25 First Division titles. The match is scheduled to kick off at 5 p.m. ET, providing fans across both continents with an opportunity to see the MLS champions in action.

Following their opener in Peru, Inter Miami will head to Colombia for a notable matchup against Atlético Nacional at the Estadio Atanasio Girardot on January 31. Often referred to as Los Verdolagas, the Medellín-based club has an impressive trophy collection, including 18 Colombian First Division titles, two CONMEBOL Copa Libertadores victories, and two Copa Interamericana titles, among other honors.

The tour will conclude with a historic first-ever encounter against Ecuadorian opposition, as Miami faces Barcelona de Guayaquil at Estadio Monumental Banco Pichincha on February 7. This matchup pits them against the most decorated club in Ecuadorian football history, which has secured 16 top-flight league championships.

This ambitious preseason itinerary reflects Inter Miami’s rising status as a global football brand, especially following their breakthrough campaign in 2025. By scheduling matches against prestigious South American opponents, the club aims to strengthen its connections with Latin American football communities while gaining crucial competitive experience.

Additionally, this tour strategically positions Miami within key football markets ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which will be jointly hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

After their South American tour, Inter Miami will return to Florida to finalize their preseason preparations in anticipation of their 2026 MLS season opener against LAFC on February 21. This match will serve as an early test for Mascherano’s team as they begin their title defense against one of the Western Conference’s perennial contenders.
