Borussia Mönchengladbach has officially announced the early termination of Czech striker Tomas Cvancara’s loan agreement with Antalyaspor. The 25-year-old will return to his Bundesliga club after the Turkish side failed to fulfill their wage obligations, leaving him unpaid for three and a half months.

In response to the unpaid wages, Cvancara has initiated legal proceedings to recover the outstanding amount. As of now, there is no update on the status of his claim.

Rouven Schröder, the sporting director of Borussia Mönchengladbach, confirmed to Kicker that Cvancara will be back with the team in time for the commencement of winter training on January 2nd. Notably, following this return, Cvancara is scheduled to head back to Turkey for a mini-camp in Belek as part of the club’s preparations. The Bundesliga will resume for Gladbach on January 11th with a home match against FC Augsburg.

The team will face a challenging schedule, participating in an “Englisher Woche” (“English Week”) that entails three league matches within a span of six days, from January 11th to January 16th. Defender Kleindienst is anticipated to be unavailable until the end of January at the earliest, with Gladbach set to play five Bundesliga matches during this period.

In a recent interview with the Rheinische Post, while attending the World Darts Championship in London, Gladbach captain Kleindienst expressed optimism about his recovery timeline, stating, “I hope that I can be back by the end of January or mid-February. There are still some minor issues to be resolved.”
