Concerns Grow Over Feyenoord s PerformanceConcerns Grow Over Feyenoord s Performance

Is the crisis at Feyenoord truly behind them? The hosts of the football podcast from Algemeen Dagblad seem to think otherwise.

Feyenoord faces significant challenges in the second half of the season, having secured only three victories in their last twelve matches against PEC Zwolle, Telstar, and FC Volendam. Mikos Gouka expresses his astonishment that unrest has yet to surface at De Kuip: “It often feels as if everything is going well at De Kuip, which leaves me perplexed. Out of twelve matches, only three have ended in victory. Many are still seeing silver linings due to Robin van Persie’s status, including the coach himself.”

The question arises: “Who is still afraid of Feyenoord?” Wijffels strongly questions whether the team can regain its footing in the second half of the season: “Who is truly intimidated by Feyenoord these days? No one. If Robin van Persie did not have a historical connection to Feyenoord, the management would view him as a coach who struggled at Heerenveen and still has much to prove. However, his legacy at Feyenoord alters that perception.”
