After missing the last match of 2025 in Oviedo, Borja Iglesias is set to return this Saturday at Balaídos against Valencia.

The international striker is a crucial player for coach Claudio Giráldez, being the team’s top scorer with nine goals across all competitions. He has only missed the aforementioned league match against Oviedo and the first round of the cup for rest, totaling 1,269 minutes played in 24 matches.

Additionally, Claudio Giráldez is awaiting updates on the recoveries of Pablo Durán, who is dealing with a ligament injury in his left shoulder, and Carlos Domínguez, who has a muscle tear in his left thigh. If they recover in time, it will be very close to match day. Both the defender and the forward have been training over the holidays.

The team returned to training this Monday, with sessions scheduled for 11 AM throughout the week, except for the New Year’s Eve session, which will start half an hour earlier, and the New Year’s Day session, which will take place at 5 PM.
