Villarreal Announces Departure of Defender Adri AltimiraVillarreal Announces Departure of Defender Adri Altimira

Villarreal CF has confirmed the departure of Adrià Altimira, as announced in a statement on Monday afternoon. The Catalan defender and the Castellón club have chosen to part ways after three seasons, during which Altimira represented the yellow submarine’s B team in the Second Division and had the opportunity to be part of the first team.

Given the presence of players like Pau Navarro and Santiago Mouriño in his position, Altimira’s exit appeared inevitable, especially following the team’s elimination from both the Champions League and the Copa del Rey. The defender leaves the club having made a total of 22 official appearances for Villarreal CF’s first team between the 2023/24 and 2025/26 seasons. Last season, he was on loan at CD Leganés, which competed in the Primera División.

Altimira’s departure is anticipated to be the first of several, as other players such as Manor Solomon and Diego Conde are also reportedly on the verge of leaving due to limited playing time in the first half of the season.
