Javi Galán, the new player for Osasuna, has expressed his unwavering confidence in his decision to sign with the Navarrese club, emphasizing his eagerness to contribute starting this Saturday against Athletic Club in Bilbao.

Galán, who joins Osasuna from Atlético Madrid, was officially presented as a new player at El Sadar following his first training session at Tajonar on Monday morning. The left-back affirmed that he is “100% convinced” about his move to the red-and-white outfit, stating, “I am where I want to be,” and expressed his enthusiasm to make a positive impact.

He explained that his choice was influenced by the club’s identity and style of play, which he believes align perfectly with his profile. “I have suffered a lot when visiting here; the atmosphere, the stadium… everything about the club appeals to me,” he remarked.

Galán also disclosed that discussions with sporting director Braulio Vázquez and favorable remarks from former teammate Alejandro Alfaro were pivotal in his decision to join.

“There is competition for every position. I come to contribute in any way needed, whether in a back five or four. I adapt well to the team’s style of play,” the ex-Atlético Madrid player noted.

Despite limited playing time with his previous club, Galán feels ready to compete from day one, declaring, “I am physically at 100%” and is fully available to the coach.

Regarding his role on the field, he highlighted his versatility: “I have spent many years alternating between a back four and five, so I can adapt perfectly to both systems.”

On the team’s atmosphere, Galán indicated that he perceives a strong club identity and has been warmly welcomed. “I am confident that I will get along well with everyone.”

The new red-and-white player confirmed that he discussed his role with the coach prior to finalizing his transfer, describing their conversation as leaving him with “very positive feelings.”

He approaches this challenge with great motivation, focusing on the present: “I always like to live in the moment. I want to contribute as much as possible now, and later we will sit down with the club to discuss our future.”
