Rayo Vallecano has returned to training as they gear up for the second half of the season. The team, managed by Iñigo Pérez, will kick off the year 2026 with a match against Getafe on January 2, followed by a Copa del Rey clash against Granada at Los Cármenes on January 6.

A positive note from the training sessions was the sight of Jorge De Frutos engaging in ball exercises at a good intensity on the pitch at the Ciudad Deportiva. The Segovian winger, who sustained an injury two weeks ago during the match against Betis, is progressing faster than expected in his recovery from a bone edema in his right knee.

Unfortunately, Iñigo Pérez will not have the services of De Frutos or Balliu in the upcoming matches. Balliu is dealing with a hamstring injury sustained during the game against Elche. Meanwhile, Pathé Ciss and Nteka remain with their national teams for the Africa Cup of Nations, although Angola’s potential early exit could expedite Nteka’s return.

Additionally, the recovery status of Alemao remains uncertain, as he has not featured in December due to pubalgia.
