El Betis Resumes Training Ahead of December FixtureEl Betis Resumes Training Ahead of December Fixture

Real Betis has resumed training following a brief holiday break for the Christmas period. The verdiblanco squad is gearing up for their first match of December, set for Sunday, December 4, against Real Madrid at the Bernabéu, and they have some positive news to report. Diego Llorente and Junior Firpo, who were sidelined due to various physical issues in previous official matches, have rejoined the training session under the guidance of coach Manuel Pellegrini.

In addition to the previously known absences of Amrabat, Abde, and Bakambu—who are currently competing in the Africa Cup of Nations with their respective national teams—and injured Isco, who underwent arthroscopic surgery in Madrid yesterday to clean the cartilage in his right ankle, the team will also be without Antony. The Brazilian played against Getafe with a slight muscle discomfort and, following an initial discussion with Pellegrini, has been working in the gym rather than on the field.

Meanwhile, Giovani Lo Celso participated fully in the training session. The Argentine was expected to be a significant figure in the upcoming winter transfer market; however, Isco’s injury complicates any potential departures, as Betis prioritizes other exits.

The team will hold their final training session of the year tomorrow at 10:30 AM, closed to the public, and will also train on January 1 in an evening session at 6:00 PM. They will resume morning training again on January 2 at 10:30 AM, and on January 3, coach Manuel Pellegrini will address the media.
