Jordi Cruijff Appointed New Technical Director at Ajax

Jordi Cruijff has been appointed as the new technical director at Ajax. The son of legendary former footballer Johan Cruijff has already ruled out one potential return from the past.

In an interview with De Telegraaf, Peter Bosz made it clear that he will not be making a return to Ajax, even with Jordi Cruijff taking on the role of technical director. “There’s no point in calling about that. We will certainly keep in touch, and I hope to see him more often,” stated the PSV coach. “It’s great to be able to follow him more closely.”

In the past, Cruijff and Bosz worked closely together at Maccabi Tel Aviv. Bosz described Cruijff as being both businesslike and direct, yet friendly. “That made collaborating with him very pleasant. It’s all about performance and winning. I’m curious to see how he implements that at Ajax. In Israel, he was always on the phone. That was his job; there are so many people who know him. The entire world could reach him; Jordi knows everyone.”
