Eintracht Frankfurt has officially confirmed the acquisition of Younes Ebnoutalib, a striker from SV Elversberg. The 22-year-old will transition from the 2. Bundesliga to the Bundesliga for a reported transfer fee of €10 million, inclusive of bonuses. Ebnoutalib has signed a contract that extends until 2031 in the RheinMain metropolis.

In a proactive move just three days prior to the opening of the January 2026 transfer window, Frankfurt has completed four signings. The club’s efforts include the addition of Japanese international Ritsu Doan, who is joined by two fellow countrymen. Japanese left back Keita Kosugi has been acquired for a reported €6.5 million.

Moreover, young Japanese attacking talent Keito Kumashiro, regarded as a long-term prospect, joins the team for approximately €400,000. Kosugi was signed from Swedish club Djurgårdens IF, while another notable signing is 17-year-old attacking prospect Love Arrhov from Brommapojkarna, which cost Eintracht a reported €4.5 million. Following a notably disappointing start to their 2025/26 Bundesliga campaign, Eintracht has now invested a total of €21.4 million in new signings for January 2026.

Markus Krösche, board member for sport at Eintracht, commented on Ebnoutalib, stating, “Younes is a very dangerous player with a robust physique. In recent months, he has made significant strides in his development at Elversberg, and we aim to support him in this growth. We believe he can quickly contribute to our team with his skills, particularly given his athletic attributes.”

Moreover, SGE sporting director Markus Krösche emphasized, “With the signing of Younes Ebnoutalib, we have added one of the most exciting German strikers currently available. He exhibits a strong work ethic, impressive physical presence, and tenacity in the penalty area. His technical skills and finishing ability are noteworthy. We are thrilled that he chose to join Eintracht Frankfurt, as his talents provide additional options for our coaching staff in the attacking phase.”
