Manor Solomon Departing Villarreal for FiorentinaManor Solomon Departing Villarreal for Fiorentina

Manor Solomon is set to become the second player to exit Villarreal during the winter transfer window. Following the departure of Adrià Altimira, who recently terminated his contract with the La Plana club, the Israeli international will leave Villarreal, effectively ending his loan agreement with the team until the end of the season. According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, Solomon will be joining Italian club Fiorentina.

The news comes as no surprise to those at Villarreal, as the club was already aware of the player’s intentions. Solomon joined the team late in the previous winter transfer window on loan from Tottenham, but he struggled to earn the trust of coach Marcelino and has increasingly become a less frequent option. Consequently, the player has decided to invoke a clause in his loan contract that allows him to leave the Castellón-based team unilaterally during this winter transfer period.

In total, Solomon has participated in 11 matches across all competitions, starting three of them, during which he scored one goal and provided one assist. His departure will be compensated by the arrival of Thiago Fernández, an Argentine player from Velez, whose signing will be officially announced by Villarreal shortly.
