Minnesota United faces potential uncertainty as head coach Eric Ramsay is reportedly being considered for a move to Europe. This speculation arises following Enzo Maresca’s departure from Chelsea midway through the Premier League season.

As reported by The Guardian, Chelsea is evaluating several candidates for the managerial position, including Liam Rosenior, currently at Strasbourg, and Ramsay, who has garnered attention for his performance in Major League Soccer. Porto’s head coach, Francesco Farioli, is also under consideration, with Chelsea aiming to finalize a new appointment soon. In the interim, the club may need to install a temporary manager ahead of their upcoming match against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium.

Rosenior’s potential move to Chelsea hinges on Strasbourg’s ability to find a suitable replacement for him. Should that occur, Ramsay could emerge as a prime candidate to take over at the Ligue 1 club, potentially triggering a series of managerial changes.

At just 32 years old, Ramsay has achieved a record of 38 wins, 16 draws, and 27 losses across 81 matches with Minnesota United, earning accolades for his coaching prowess in MLS.

On the other hand, Rosenior has been leading Chelsea’s partner club Strasbourg since 2024, successfully guiding them to a seventh-place finish in Ligue 1 during his inaugural season.
