Valencia CF has publicly condemned the incident that occurred upon the team’s arrival at Manises Airport, where a window of the official bus transporting players and coaching staff was shattered. The club issued a statement via its official account on social media platform X, accompanied by an image showing the broken window of the vehicle.

Approximately two hundred individuals gathered to await the Valencia delegation, which arrived at around 19:30 following a 4-1 defeat against Celta. Despite the presence of national police officers who cordoned off and cleared the area around the bus, they were unable to prevent objects from being thrown at the vehicle as it awaited the team.

In the statement, the club expressed its understanding of the frustration and discontent felt by fans regarding the team’s recent performances. However, they deeply lamented the incident that occurred during the team’s arrival. The club explained that the broken window could have led to more severe consequences, as such acts of violence pose a risk of personal injury to players or coaching staff.

Furthermore, Valencia reiterated its rejection of all forms of violent behavior and firmly stated its position by declaring a strong condemnation of any acts of violence.

The club did not provide further details regarding the incident or any potential additional measures that might be taken in response. The image of the damaged bus was captured after the team had vacated the vehicle at the club’s training ground in Paterna, where players were then transported in their private vehicles.
