Potential Changes at Ajax: Kenneth Taylor’s Transfer Situation

Ajax is likely to see some changes this month, particularly regarding outgoing players. One significant name on the list is Kenneth Taylor, who may leave the club, although he still needs to secure a new employer.

As per Turkish television presenter Yagız Sabuncuoglu, Ajax has accepted a bid of approximately €16 to €17 million for Taylor from Fenerbahçe. However, the Süper Lig club, which was previously close to signing PSV midfielder Joey Veerman, has not yet pursued the deal further.

In a recent column for De Telegraaf, Bert van Marwijk expressed disappointment regarding Taylor’s lack of a major transfer thus far. He remarked, “It’s a setback for Ajax, and if I understand correctly, for the player himself, as Kenneth Taylor has not yet made a significant move. I regard Taylor as a good player for Ajax who has value here. However, his situation differs from that of certain super talents who have emerged suddenly in the past. Players like Cruyff, Van Basten, Rijkaard, Sneijder, and Van der Vaart did not need a coach; they could excel at any club abroad. Just give them a ball, and they will shine.
