Georginio Wijnaldum Considers Return to Eredivisie

Georginio Wijnaldum is contemplating a potential return to the Eredivisie this summer, leaving his options wide open.

The experienced midfielder’s contract with the Saudi Arabian club Al-Ettifaq is set to expire at the end of the season. While extending his stay in the Middle East remains a possibility, returning to his native Netherlands is also on the table. At 35 years old, Wijnaldum stated in an interview with Algemeen Dagblad, “Is a return to the Netherlands possible? My contract here is ending, so nothing is excluded.”
