Sky Germany recently shared a quote from Bayern Munich’s promising talent, Lennart Karl, in which the 17-year-old expressed his aspiration to play for Real Madrid one day. While he stated that playing for the Bundesliga champions has been a lifelong dream, he also conveyed his desire to join Real Madrid “at some point” in his career.

Karl officially signed his first professional contract on August 9, 2025. His current contract with Bayern Munich extends until the conclusion of the 2027/28 season. Although professional contracts for players his age are typically not disclosed, Transfermarkt reports that Karl is represented by the sports management agency “Lucky 13.”

The young athlete’s remarkable rise has drawn comparisons to Lionel Messi and witnessed a staggering increase in his market value, which has soared from €1.5 million to €60 million over the past six months. Despite his success at the club level, Karl has yet to receive a call-up to the German senior national team.

This season, he has already set two Champions League records, scoring his first goal in the competition and later adding a third. In the Bundesliga, he has also netted three goals, placing him in a tie with Nicolas Jackson for fifth on Bayern’s current league scoring chart. He trails only Harry Kane (19 goals), Luis Diaz (8 goals), Michael Olise (7 goals), and Serge Gnabry (4 goals). Karl has started in six out of a possible 15 Bundesliga matches in what is shaping up to be a promising rookie season.
