Strasbourg has officially announced the appointment of Gary O’Neil as their new head coach, succeeding Liam Rosenior, who has moved to Chelsea.

Rosenior transitioned to Chelsea as part of a collaborative relationship with Strasbourg, which is also under the ownership of BlueCo. This development necessitated the Ligue 1 club’s search for a new manager.

O’Neil, an Englishman with recent experience managing Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League, has been selected to lead the team. He previously oversaw Bournemouth and is set to conduct first-team training commencing Thursday. Additionally, O’Neil will take charge during Strasbourg’s upcoming cup match against Avranches on Saturday.

Liam Rosenior has signed a contract with Chelsea that extends until 2032.
