Eintracht Frankfurt Eyes Young Talent Cajetan LenzEintracht Frankfurt Eyes Young Talent Cajetan Lenz

Eintracht Frankfurt is reportedly in a prime position to sign Cajetan Lenz, a 19-year-old defensive midfielder from Bochum and a member of the Germany U20 national team, according to a report by Florian Plettenberg.

While there are currently no negotiations underway between the two clubs, Markus Krösche is said to be a pivotal figure in advancing this potential deal, as Eintracht aims to secure Lenz’s signature this summer. However, they are facing competition from fellow Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen.

Since Krösche’s appointment, Eintracht Frankfurt has solidified its status as a prominent club within the Bundesliga. In recent seasons, they have successfully brought in players such as Nathaniel Brown, Hugo Larsson, and Can Uzun, while also profiting from the sales of Randal Kolo Muani, Omar Marmoush, and Hugo Ekitke, all of which were completed for significantly higher fees than their original acquisition costs.

In January, Eintracht Frankfurt bolstered their squad by securing the signings of Younes Ebnoutalib for €10 million, Keita Kosugi for €6.5 million, Love Arrhov for €4.6 million, and Ayoube Amaimouni-Echghouyab for €200,000.

Regarding Lenz, Plettenberg reports that Eintracht views the young talent as a player with the potential to develop into a vital member of the senior national team.
