Outkast Teams Up with MUNDIAL for Stankonia FC Capsule Collection Celebrating 25 Years of Iconic Album

Outkast and MUNDIAL have partnered to unveil a special capsule collection in celebration of the 25th anniversary of their seminal album, Stankonia. This collaboration coincides with the induction of the Atlanta hip-hop duo into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame this weekend.

The limited-edition Outkast x MUNDIAL Stankonia F.C. capsule is exclusively available at mundialmag.com/collections/store. This marks Outkast’s first venture into the realm of soccer, creatively merging hip-hop with the sport by reimagining the iconic album as a fictional soccer club, Stankonia F.C.

Released a quarter of a century ago, Stankonia stands as a landmark 24-track record that revolutionized hip-hop music with its innovative fusion of genres, from funk to rock to psychedelic sounds. The album’s experimental nature broadened musical boundaries and inspired artists across the industry.

To commemorate this milestone, Outkast has collaborated with MUNDIAL, known for its unique take on soccer culture. The capsule features a soccer jersey inspired by the album’s cover art, showcasing the classic black and white Stars and Stripes. This jersey incorporates nostalgic 90s design elements, including a well-proportioned collar, the Outkast logo, and the monochrome U.S. flag emblazoned on the chest. Above the lyrics ‘Foreva Eva’ from the hit single ‘Ms. Jackson,’ the jersey proudly displays the number 25 alongside the name Stankonia.

In addition to the jersey, the collection includes a short-sleeved tee adorned with a custom Stankonia F.C. crest and the album artwork, as well as a long-sleeved shirt featuring the new club’s name in a gothic typeface. A black hoodie completes the collection, featuring the lyric ‘The sky is falling, ain’t no need to panic’ from the track ‘So Fresh, So Clean.’
