Sevilla FC is diligently navigating the January transfer market, albeit with constraints imposed by its economic situation. Despite the recent departures of Álvaro Fernández and homegrown player Ramón Martínez, sporting director Antonio Cordón is unable to make new signings until a buyer emerges to increase the payroll cap. Currently, players like Rubén Vargas, Agoumé, Juanlu, and Carmona are among the most attractive assets for the club. Additionally, Akor Adams is also gaining attention.

The strategic roadmap is clear, with one of the top priorities being the reinforcement of the attacking line. According to the German publication Bild, a notable target has emerged: Julien Duranville, a Belgian winger currently with Borussia Dortmund. At just 19 years old, Duranville made his debut for the senior national team at 18. This season, he has seen limited action, totaling only 124 minutes with the reserve team, leading the Bundesliga club to consider a loan move during this winter market to enhance the player’s value.

Borussia Dortmund acquired Duranville for €8.5 million from Anderlecht in 2023, and a potential return to the Belgian club is also being evaluated. Coach Besnik Hasi was asked about this possibility in a recent press conference. “I do not know Julien, so I am unaware of his current situation,” he stated. “As the coach, I am not involved in transfer decisions. If they seek my opinion on a player, I will provide it. My responsibility is to train the players and help them improve. However, we all recognize his immense talent. He is linked to Anderlecht because that is his home, which is understandable. But a good player is always welcome.”
