Sky Germany reports that VfB Stuttgart is looking to strengthen its striker position during the upcoming winter transfer window. One of the primary candidates at Mercedesstraße is Jeremy Arevalo, a striker from Racing Santander. The 20-year-old talent has made a notable impact in the Spanish second division, scoring seven goals in 12 matches. Arevalo is under contract until 2027, but his deal includes a release clause set at €7 million. Stuttgart, however, is contending with interest from Bundesliga rivals Eintracht Frankfurt, as well as Serie A clubs AS Roma and Udinese. Should Stuttgart finalize the signing of Arevalo, it would surpass the €5.25 million Bayer Leverkusen spent on Christian Kofane from Albacete this summer. Meanwhile, RB Leipzig previously made a significant investment in LaLiga2 when they acquired Yan Diomande from relegated Leganes for €20 million. The urgency for Stuttgart to bolster their striker options has increased due to an injury sustained by Ermedin Demirovic earlier this season. Currently, Deniz Undav and Tiago Tomas are the only available players capable of fulfilling the striker role, leaving the team without a recognized forward. In recent weeks, VfB Stuttgart had been linked with Real Madrid striker Endrick; however, the out-of-favor Brazilian does not appear to be a target for the club at this time.
