Ajax Faces Challenges in Player TransfersAjax Faces Challenges in Player Transfers

Ajax is hoping to offload several players during this transfer period; however, according to the Algemeen Dagblad, this is proving to be a challenging endeavor.

Players such as Anton Gaaei, Kian Fitz-Jim, Branco van den Boomen, and Oliver Edvardsen are looking for new clubs, but the quartet does not seem particularly eager to make a move.

During a press conference on Friday, interim coach Fred Grim shed light on the club’s transfer ambitions. He indicated that Ajax aims to acquire a left-back, a central midfielder, and an attacker, while also attempting to offload several existing players.

In terms of acquiring a new central midfielder, there has been no breakthrough as reported by the newspaper. Manuel Ugarte was mentioned as a potential target; however, he appears to be unattainable at the moment. The Uruguayan is seen as a valuable opportunity but is currently out of reach due to his salary, recent regular starting positions, and the managerial changes at Manchester United.
