Gonçalo Borges Determined to Succeed at Feyenoord

Gonçalo Borges experienced a disappointing first half of the year at Feyenoord, but he is now ready to prove himself. In an interview with Algemeen Dagblad, he shared his thoughts on his journey so far.

Despite facing sporting challenges, Borges has enjoyed his time in Rotterdam from day one. He remarked, “I immediately felt that I had joined a wonderful club. However, I was not focused on the expectations of others. The transfer fee associated with me was beyond my control.” He noted that it took some time to acclimatize to his new environment, stating, “I am truly a family-oriented person. In Portugal, I always had everyone around me. Here, I had to adjust to the food, the weather, and the style of football. Portugal is not the same as the Netherlands, and vice versa.”
