Ajax Prepares for Eredivisie Match Against TelstarAjax Prepares for Eredivisie Match Against Telstar

The winter break has concluded, and Ajax is set to commence the second half of the Eredivisie season with an away match against Telstar. Last week, the Amsterdam team boosted their confidence by securing a 4-0 victory in a friendly against RFC Seraing. Head coach Fred Grim has ensured that nearly all players received game time during the match against the Belgians. The question remains: which eleven players will he field this weekend?

**Expected Lineup for Ajax Against Telstar**

Under Grim’s leadership, Ajax was enjoying a positive run before the winter break, winning five out of their last six matches, with only a draw against NEC (2-2) interrupting their streak. They carried this momentum into the friendly against RFC Seraing, competing in Belgium’s second tier. Sean Steur, Don-Angelo Konadu, Kenneth Taylor, and Mika Godts were the goal scorers, while Lucas Jetten and Avery Appiah made their unofficial debuts for the first team.

Grim has already secured a replacement for Kenneth Taylor, who is sidelined. The lineup for the match against Telstar is expected to closely resemble that of the last fixture against NEC in 2025. Vitezslav Jaros will take position in goal, with Ko Itakura favored over Josip Sutalo and Aaron Bouwman to form a central defensive partnership with Youri Baas. Anton Gaaei will play as right back, while Lucas Rosa appears set to start on the left, taking over from Owen Wijndal.

**Kasper Dolberg Returns to Full Fitness**

In the attacking front, Ajax has had to cope without Kasper Dolberg for an extended period. However, the 28-year-old Danish striker has regained his peak condition. Dolberg completed a full ninety minutes against NEC for the first time this season and is expected to start against Telstar. On the right flank, Grim is likely to opt for Oscar Gloukh once again. Although Gloukh was originally signed as a ‘number 10’, he has been utilized on the right side in recent matches.

**Anticipated Ajax Lineup Against Telstar (4-3-3)**

Jaros; Gaaei, Itakura, Baas, Rosa; Regeer, Klaassen, Steur; Gloukh, Dolberg, Godts.
