Ajax s Transfer Hopes Ugarte or a Return for BlindAjax s Transfer Hopes Ugarte or a Return for Blind

Ajax is actively seeking to bring in a new controller to Amsterdam and has identified Manuel Ugarte as a promising opportunity. However, they have recently received updates from Manchester.

Manuel Ugarte, who transferred from Paris Saint-Germain to Manchester United in the summer of 2024 for a substantial fee of fifty million euros, has found himself often on the sidelines under manager Rúben Amorim. His situation has changed somewhat as, by the end of December, he became a starting player in matches against teams such as Aston Villa, Newcastle United, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Leeds United, and Burnley.

If Ugarte does not join Ajax, there is a strong possibility that the club will reconsider an old acquaintance. Reports indicate that, as in previous transfer windows, the name of Daley Blind has resurfaced in discussions at Ajax. The Girona player is also eager to return to Amsterdam. However, interest remains just that—Ajax has yet to take further action. At 35, Blind can also play as a left-back, a position where Ajax is looking to bolster their squad, potentially considering Owen Wijndal as well.
