Timon Wellenreuther Reflects on Feyenoord’s Performance Post-Winter Break

Timon Wellenreuther noted that the players of Feyenoord were unable to perform at their full capacity due to fatigue during their first match after the winter break, which ended in a 2-2 draw against Heerenveen.

The captain of Feyenoord remarked on ESPN, “When you are leading 1-2 with just ten minutes left in the match, your aim is to secure a victory. In the first half, we created several opportunities and performed quite well. However, it took too long for us to play the ball into deeper positions. The second half proved to be challenging. Heerenveen is a competent team, but as Feyenoord, we should play better and maintain dominance. By the end, we were not dominant at all.”
