In a commanding display aimed at extending their lead over second-placed Borussia Dortmund by 11 points, Bayern Munich quickly asserted dominance, taking the lead within five minutes. A cross from Diaz deflected off Wolfsburg defender Kilian Fischer, who inadvertently scored an own goal as he struggled to regain his footing.

Despite this early setback, Wolfsburg, having scored nine goals in their last three league matches, responded effectively. Lovro Majer delivered an exquisite reverse pass that found Dzenan Pejcinovic, who calmly slotted the ball past Manuel Neuer, marking his fourth goal of the season.

However, the Allianz Arena erupted in celebration once more when Olise collected a pass from Konrad Laimer and delivered a pinpoint cross to Diaz, who headed in from close range at the 30-minute mark.

Wolfsburg faced the threat of being reduced to ten men after Moritz Jenz’s robust tackle on Harry Kane, but a review by the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) concluded that no further action was necessary, much to the displeasure of Bayern’s striker.

Upon returning from halftime, Bayern came close to extending their lead when Olise broke through on goal, but his shot was expertly saved by Wolfsburg goalkeeper Kamil Grabara. Moments later, Olise sidestepped defenders Fischer and Konstantinos Koulierakis before curling a stunning shot into the far corner.

Just three minutes later, Olise played a crucial role in Bayern’s fourth goal, as Jenz inadvertently scored another own goal while attempting to prevent Diaz from finding the net at the far post.

As Wolfsburg’s defense faltered, Bayern scored twice within a minute: Kane deftly assisted Guerreiro from a clever free-kick, and then the England captain spectacularly found the top corner, bringing his tally to 20 goals in just 16 league games this season.

In his 50th Bundesliga appearance for Bayern, Olise added the seventh goal, finishing confidently past an exposed Grabara with his so-called ‘weaker’ right foot. The victory was further embellished when Goretzka slid the ball into the far corner for his first goal of the campaign.

While Kane’s extraordinary goal was a highlight, it was Olise, a former Premier League star, who truly shone against Wolfsburg. The French international provided assists for both Diaz’s header and Bayern’s second goal, scored with a beautiful curling effort, and he played a pivotal role in the fourth goal that resulted in Jenz’s second own goal.

Olise capped off his outstanding performance with the seventh goal, executed with precision just 14 minutes before full time. Unfortunately for Fischer, his night was marred by the early own goal, as he was exploited throughout the match by Bayern’s relentless attacking prowess.
