AC Milan’s head coach, Massimiliano Allegri, has confirmed that United States forward Christian Pulisic is fit to make his anticipated return from a hamstring injury this weekend. Pulisic sustained a low-grade tear in his right hamstring during the first half of the U.S. men’s national team’s 2-1 friendly victory over Australia on October 17. In a news conference on Friday, Allegri stated that Pulisic is available for Milan’s upcoming match against Parma on Saturday. “We have Pulisic back, who is doing well and ready to play,” Allegri remarked. Despite his recovery, Pulisic was not included in Mauricio Pochettino’s roster for the USMNT’s friendlies against Paraguay and Uruguay on November 15 and 18. Pochettino noted that Pulisic was omitted from the squad “to ensure he can fully recover.” Pulisic’s return is a significant boost for AC Milan, as the 27-year-old has demonstrated impressive form this season, netting six goals in eight appearances across all competitions. As they approach their match against Parma, Milan currently stands third in the Serie A standings, just one point behind the defending champions, Napoli. “There’s a great atmosphere at Milanello; we need to remain grounded and poised, especially in unexpected moments,” Allegri emphasized, having taken over as Milan’s coach this summer. “Our objective remains Champions League qualification. This season is long, and we face many opponents. We will work diligently to improve and assess our standing come March.” In addition to providing an update on Pulisic, Allegri confirmed that both Mexican striker Santiago Gimenez and French midfielder Adrien Rabiot would also be fit to return from their injuries after the November international break.
