Hamburger SV has officially addressed the resignation of former board member for sports, Stefan Kuntz, due to serious allegations against him. This statement follows Kuntz’s unexpected announcement at the beginning of the month, where he denied the allegations of sexual harassment through his Instagram account.

The supervisory board of HSV clarified the circumstances surrounding Kuntz’s departure, affirming that credible allegations had indeed been made. While the statement refrained from detailing the specific nature of these claims, it emphasized that there was no intent to tarnish Kuntz’s reputation.
