NEC Aims to Retain Star Player Kento Shiogai Amidst Transfer Interest

NEC Nijmegen is enjoying a remarkable season and is keen to maintain their performance post-winter break, which includes retaining all key players, particularly forward Kento Shiogai.

The club is aware of VfL Wolfsburg’s concrete interest in Shiogai. However, NEC is taking a firm stance, reportedly demanding ten million euros for the talented Japanese striker. Coach Dick Schreuder seems to favor compatriot Koki Ogawa and Bryan Linssen for starting positions, yet Shiogai’s contributions cannot be overlooked.

Currently, NEC occupies the fourth position in the league, trailing Feyenoord by seven points, though they have played one match more.
