PSV Faces Potential Departures This SummerPSV Faces Potential Departures This Summer

Key players from PSV may be on the verge of leaving this summer, as outlined by club analyst Rik Elfrink in an analysis for the Eindhovens Dagblad.

Elfrink begins by placing PSV’s current situation within a broader context. He notes that the financial state of the club has significantly improved over the last twelve months. A year ago, several important players were nearing the end of their contracts, including Walter Benítez, Olivier Boscagli, and Luuk de Jong, all of whom have since departed. Conversely, players like Mauro Júnior have renewed their commitments to the club. Among the current core players, only Anass Salah-Eddine is not yet secured for the next season, as he is currently on loan from AS Roma. Elfrink concludes that the club now enjoys a much healthier foundation, highlighting the increased value of the player roster.

In addition, the potential departure of Armando Obispo appears likely, as the defender is entering the final year of his contract and has not secured a starting position in Eindhoven. Meanwhile, Salah-Eddine may have the chance to extend his stay, although Elfrink emphasizes that both the player and his management must agree to a permanent move to PSV. Goalkeeper Matej Kovár has already been permanently acquired from Bayer Leverkusen.
