According to Sky Sports Deutschland, Real Madrid President Florentino Perez is on the lookout for transformative figures, driven by his ambitious vision. Known for his legendary ‘Galacticos’ recruitment strategy, Perez aims to bolster Los Blancos both on and off the field with two high-profile signings.

Currently, Alvaro Arbeloa is serving as the interim manager in Madrid, and discussions have reportedly begun regarding former Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp. The German strategist, who stepped away from management in the summer of 2024 to assume the role of Global Head of Soccer for Red Bull, has expressed no immediate plans to return to the sidelines. In a recent interview with Servus TV, Klopp acknowledged receiving inquiries after the sacking of coach Xabi Alonso, although he clarified that none were from Madrid.

Klopp expressed surprise at the abrupt decision made following a cup final loss to Barcelona, indicating that the events were anticipated internally. While Klopp is not in a position to take over at Madrid currently, sources suggest that the prospect of managing the club holds a significant appeal for him, particularly if a long-term project aligns with his vision.

In addition to Klopp, former Chelsea coach Enzo Maresca and Real Madrid legend Zinedine Zidane have also been linked to the managerial vacancy. However, Zidane’s previously strained relationship with Perez might complicate his potential return, especially as he is rumored to be in line to lead the French national team post-2026 World Cup.

On another front, Perez is reportedly dreaming of securing Norway international Erling Haaland from Manchester City. Discussions with Haaland’s agent, Rafaela Pimenta, are said to be ongoing, especially since Real Madrid had pursued him prior to his move to England in 2022. Haaland is known to admire Spain and considers a future at Real Madrid as his ultimate aspiration, but any transfer would come at a significant cost. With City holding Haaland under a lucrative contract until 2034, estimates suggest that a deal could exceed €500 million (£434 million/$581 million).

Meanwhile, selling Brazilian forward Vinicius Junior, who has attracted interest from the Saudi Pro League, could be a strategy to generate necessary funds. However, the feasibility of Real Madrid’s ambitions to secure both Klopp and Haaland remains uncertain.
