Manchester City Set to Sign Crystal Palace Captain Marc Guehi

Manchester City has reached a preliminary agreement to acquire Crystal Palace captain Marc Guehi this month.

Following injuries to defenders Josko Gvardiol and Ruben Dias, City initiated discussions to sign the 25-year-old England centre-back. Guehi, who has attracted interest from several top European clubs, is set to be out of contract this summer and was previously close to a transfer to Liverpool.

According to BBC Sport, Manchester City intensified their pursuit of Guehi over the past 24 hours. It is anticipated that he will join the club on a long-term contract shortly.

While personal terms have yet to be formally negotiated, they are not expected to pose any significant challenges.

In this transfer window, City has already signed Antoine Semenyo from Bournemouth for a fee of £62.5 million.
