Reale showcased her remarkable talent by participating in all 26 regular-season matches for Gotham FC, starting every postseason game, and contributing significantly to the team’s NWSL Championship victory. Her exceptional performances throughout the season earned her the NWSL Rookie of the Year award, having amassed over 2,200 minutes of play across all competitions.

Her club achievements translated seamlessly to the international stage. In June, Reale received her first senior call-up to the U.S. Women’s National Team (USWNT) and made her debut with a starting position against Ireland, where she recorded her first international assist in a commanding shutout victory. She further demonstrated her capabilities by playing a full 90 minutes against Canada in a high-pressure match, contributing to multiple clean sheets for the national team in 2025. Prior to joining the senior squad, Reale was a consistent presence in U.S. youth national teams, including appearances at the 2022 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup and participation with the U-23 teams. Her rapid ascent in 2025 underscored her versatility and maturity, despite being a rookie.

In the voting process, Reale secured 48 percent of the weighted vote, surpassing competitors Jordyn Bugg and Micayla Johnson. As part of the accolade, Henkel will donate $10,000 to a community organization of her choice, with Reale opting for the Boys and Girls Clubs of Boston, reflecting her deep roots in Hingham, Massachusetts.

With this prestigious recognition, Reale becomes the 28th recipient of the U.S. Soccer Young Female Player of the Year award—an honor that can only be awarded once and has historically paved the way for future World Cup participants.
