Ajax Boosts Goalkeeping Lineup in 2025

In the calendar year 2025, Ajax enhanced its goalkeeping lineup by bringing in notable new talents, including Vitezslav Jaros and Joeri Heerkens. Initially, Kayne van Oevelen was also a candidate for this position.

However, Van Oevelen ultimately chose to sign a new contract with FC Volendam rather than make the move to Amsterdam. Currently, he has been serving as the first-choice goalkeeper for FC Volendam for a year and a half. During the early stages of his tenure, Ajax expressed serious interest in him. In fact, they even engaged in discussions with the goalkeeper, who was available on a free transfer at the time.

“The goalkeeping coach from Jong Ajax came here, but he didn’t seem to be fully aware of the situation,” the 22-year-old goalkeeper shared with Voetbal International.
