He suggests that the Swedish player is expected to eventually replace Mika Godts, stating, “This does not mean that Ibrahimovic has been brought in with the expectation of being ready to step in for Godts within six months. Rather, Ajax has found itself in a situation where it is becoming increasingly challenging to acquire young players who can immediately provide quality on the pitch.”
