Feyenoord is reportedly seeking to bolster its defense this winter by acquiring Jeremiah St. Juste. According to SoccerNews, the central defender is currently undergoing medical examinations in Rotterdam. The club intends to await the results of these tests before proceeding with any potential transfer.

The urgency for a central defender has been well-documented, particularly as key players Thomas Beelen, Gernot Trauner, and Malcolm Jeng are all sidelined with long-term injuries. Robin van Persie has repeatedly emphasized the need for reinforcements given the current thinness of the squad.

Jeremiah St. Juste previously played for Feyenoord between 2017 and 2019, having been transferred from sc Heerenveen. After a stint at FSV Mainz 05, he joined Sporting in 2022, where he is now in the final months of his contract. His familiarity with the club could work to Feyenoord’s advantage in the competition for his signature; however, the transfer is not yet confirmed, as multiple clubs are also expressing interest.
