Recent developments in Turkey indicate that Galatasaray has joined Ajax in the pursuit of Stije Resink, according to Turkish transfer journalist Kutlu Akpinar. The FC Groningen captain has reportedly become a prime target for the Istanbul club.

For weeks, Resink has been linked with a move to Ajax, with expectations that a transfer could materialize either this winter or in the upcoming summer. However, the recent interest from Galatasaray may compel Ajax to reassess their strategy. Akpinar reports that Galatasaray has significantly increased its efforts to secure Resink, aiming to bring him to Istanbul as soon as possible.

Additionally, Galatasaray recently made an attempt to recruit Jerdy Schouten from PSV Eindhoven. Despite their efforts, they were met with a firm rejection, as Schouten has just signed a contract extending to 2030 and serves as a key player and captain for PSV. According to Rik Elfrink, PSV is not willing to let him go, further complicating Galatasaray’s transfer ambitions.
