Davy Klaassen anticipates several transfers from Ajax in the coming weeks. The seasoned midfielder indicates that the club’s management is actively working to recruit new players.

As the captain of Ajax, Klaassen holds significant influence within the team, yet he emphasizes the need for more experienced figures. “I believe we could benefit from having more leader-types, which would help us organize better as a group,” he shared with Ziggo Sport. “It makes things easier when players naturally possess those qualities. Currently, we lack that, and we must all work together to improve our coordination.”

Klaassen, however, does not view these types of players as crucial in the fight for second place in the league. In his opinion, there is already sufficient quality within the team to achieve this objective. “I believe we can reach that goal, but we need to improve. I see progress, yet sometimes we take a small step back before moving forward again. Ideally, we want to maintain a consistent upward trajectory.”
