Quinten Timber Set to Transfer from Feyenoord to Olympique MarseilleQuinten Timber Set to Transfer from Feyenoord to Olympique Marseille

Quinten Timber is poised to leave Feyenoord for Olympique Marseille. The Rotterdam club stands to gain a substantial amount from his winter transfer, as discussed in the SoccerNews podcast, Transfermind.

Tensions escalated publicly over the weekend between Timber and coach Robin van Persie. The 24-year-old midfielder appeared unexpectedly on ESPN, where he criticized his trainer, stating, “This has happened several times where the coach does not defend his player. It has happened to me again, and there is a limit to this.” Van Persie responded by claiming that Timber was not putting in enough effort and lacked the right intentions during training and matches. Following Feyenoord’s match against Sparta Rotterdam, which they lost 3-4, Van Persie expressed that he saw “no way back” for their relationship.

Regarding the potential transfer fee, earlier estimates by De Telegraaf suggested a figure between 10 and 12 million euros. However, transfer expert Boualin believes the actual amount may be slightly lower, estimating it between 8 and 10 million euros. “The clubs are currently negotiating the transfer fee,” he noted, adding, “I expect it to be no lower than that.”
