Pressure Mounts on Robin van Persie as Feyenoord CoachPressure Mounts on Robin van Persie as Feyenoord Coach

Currently, there is considerable attention surrounding Robin van Persie, who is increasingly under pressure as the coach of Feyenoord. A video showcasing Quinten Timber’s striking performance recently garnered likes on Instagram from players such as Ramiz Zerrouki, Quilindschy Hartman, Calvin Stengs, and Andries Noppert.

Journalist Marcel van der Kraan has come to the defense of the criticized Feyenoord coach. He notes that the players who reacted negatively are those who have struggled to make an impression at Feyenoord or Heerenveen, such as Noppert. “The players mentioned, like Zerrouki, were deemed not good enough for Feyenoord and were subsequently overlooked. This has led to some irritation among them,” he explained.

Additionally, Van der Kraan reveals that Feyenoord was very keen on securing Quinten Timber’s contract, despite his injury history. “Timber has spent significant periods sidelined from play at Feyenoord, yet the club persisted in their efforts to have him sign a new contract. Whether it was for one or two years, they were eager to retain him. His value was highly regarded; he could have signed the most lucrative contract in the club’s history, complete with various bonuses, and his agents would have received a substantial commission as well.”
