The transition for Bijlow happened swiftly. He arrived in Italy on Monday and quickly underwent a medical examination. By Tuesday, he had signed the contract, officially completing his transfer from the Rotterdam side. Genoa CFC shared the announcement of his move via their official channels.

During his time at Feyenoord, Bijlow made a significant impact, playing in 152 matches and maintaining a clean sheet in 55 of them. Unfortunately, his tenure was marred by a series of unfortunate injuries, which hindered him from realizing his full potential. According to Transfermarkt, Bijlow missed a total of 174 matches due to these injuries.
