Borussia Dortmund Set to Miss Out on Quinten Timber as Marseille Seals DealBorussia Dortmund Set to Miss Out on Quinten Timber as Marseille Seals Deal

According to a report by Fabrizio Romano, Borussia Dortmund is poised to miss out on Feyenoord midfielder Quinten Timber, who is set to join Marseille.

A verbal agreement has already been reached between Marseille and Feyenoord, with negotiations for Timber’s transfer entering the final stages. Although Timber’s contract is due to expire at the end of the season, his decision to decline contract offers and the loss of his captaincy have hastened his exit from De Kuip.

Dortmund expressed interest in Timber as early as November; however, it appears that Marseille has now emerged victorious in this pursuit.

The future direction for Borussia Dortmund remains uncertain. The club has recently seen Pascal Groß depart for Brighton, yet they are reportedly nearing an agreement to extend Emre Can’s contract. Additionally, club executives are working to secure Felix Nmecha with a new deal that extends beyond 2028.
