Mallorca continues to navigate the complexities of the winter transfer market. Following their recent acquisition of promising talent Justin Kalumba (21 years old) from Angers in France, the club’s sports management is now focused on securing a more immediate-impact winger.

One player on Pablo Ortells’ radar is Benja Domínguez, an Argentine winger currently with Bologna in Italy’s Serie A. The player has expressed a strong interest in moving to the island to participate in the latter part of the domestic competition.

Domínguez is seeking an exit in January to gain more playing time during the second half of the season. However, as reported by Matteo Moretto, his current club, Bologna, is not open to letting the young Argentine winger depart at this time.

At 22 years old and hailing from La Plata, Benja Domínguez has logged only 410 minutes across four competitions this season—Serie A, Europa League, Supercopa Italiana, and Coppa Italia. In the 12 matches he has participated in during the 2025/26 season, he has provided two assists.

Last season, 2024/25, proved to be significantly more productive for Domínguez. He accumulated over 1,400 minutes during his inaugural campaign in Europe, participating in 28 matches across Serie A and Coppa Italia, where he scored four goals and registered three assists. His team ultimately clinched the Coppa Italia title after defeating Milan 1-0 in the final.
