Robin van Persie Addresses Criticism of Coaching Style

On Wednesday afternoon, Robin van Persie addressed the criticism that he is ‘too harsh’ with his players. The Feyenoord coach is currently facing significant scrutiny but believes not all of it is warranted.

“Sometimes yes, sometimes no. I understand that I cannot please everyone, and that is certainly not my goal. I often rely on my intuition. At times, I express myself more, and at other times, less. When I speak more, I later think that perhaps I should have said less. Conversely, if I say less, I wonder if I should have said more. It’s a sort of cat-and-mouse game,” Van Persie explained, as quoted by RTV Rijnmond.
